Dr Sadiq Ewaoda Amali founder of Inmates Reformation and Rehabilitation Pathways has been conducting research on correctional facilities in Nigeria for over 7 years, and some of his findings are now used as policy reforms such as the change of name from Nigeria Prison Service to Nigerian Correctional Service and implementation of adequate rehabilitation programmes which can address the problem of idleness and recidivism amongst convicted inmates
